Lincoln Elementary

Part of the Clovis Unified School District

Principal's Message

Welcome to Lincoln Elementary School, Home of the Lions and “The Pride Land”. Lincoln Elementary is a small but mighty part of the Clovis West Community that feeds into Kastner Intermediate and Clovis West High School. We are a high performing Title 1 school, which means we have many families facing economic challenges, but we don’t consider that a barrier to academic achievement. We consider this as an opportunity to further embrace all members of the Lincoln Community and it motivates and challenges us to build strong relationships with our students and families so that they are supported wherever there is need.

We have been the #1 Title one school in Clovis Unified for over 14 years. Our staff is a group of professionals that support and urge students to be their best in MIND, BODY, and SPIRIT. Lincoln Elementary was recognized as a California Distinguished School in 1997, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2018, and 2020. Lincoln was recognized as a Title 1 Academic Achievement Award School in 2013 and 2014 as well as making Educational Results Partnership’s “Honor Roll” list of California’s top performing schools in 2023 and 2024. These awards reflect the dedication and commitment of staff, students, and parents working together to make Lincoln a special place to grow academically, compete in sports, and challenge themselves with other extracurricular activities.

Lincoln Elementary has a solid group of volunteers in our PTC group that plays an integral part in propelling our mission forward. The Lincoln PTC not only provides additional support for teachers and students in the classroom but connects Lincoln to the greater community by sponsoring schoolwide events like the Family Dance Night, Movie Nights, and the Lincoln School Carnival. Our goal is to make Lincoln a safe place where every student is challenged to be their best. Our parents are an important part of this educational team. We couldn’t do what we do without you.

Sincerely,
Matt Verhalen
