Our library is a place that celebrates KIDS and READING!
We are committed to creating a love of reading and learning and to supporting our students and teachers.

Open Before and After School!
The library is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Wednesdays the library is open from 7:45 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.

Search for books in our library at: Lincoln's Library Website. Students may place books on hold using Destiny Discover in their Clever account and pick them up in the library on the “Books on Hold” shelf.

Scheduled Class Visits: Every class has a 30-minute library visit every week. Students in grades 2nd – 6th may check out two books at a time and students in Preschool - 1st grades may check out one book at a time that stays in the classroom. Parents accompanying students can check out an additional two books.

Library Recess: Students can use library passes to enjoy a safe social place with games and activities.

Pay Lost/Damaged Library Books and Textbooks
We understand library books and textbooks can get lost or damaged beyond repair. Fines can be paid online, or cash can be brought into the library.
Lost library books must be reported lost to Mrs. Andrus so a fine can be created. Once the fine is created, it can be paid online. You must enter the student’s name, ID number, and parent’s name in order for the payment to be processed. Click here to make a payment.

Accelerated Reader Program
At Lincoln, students will be engaged in the Accelerated Reader (AR) program from 2nd through 6th grade. This program is designed to assess each student's reading level and reading comprehension. Students take a STAR reading test each quarter to determine their appropriate reading level. After a student finishes reading a book in their AR level, they can take an AR test on campus. The higher score they receive, the more points they will earn. A score that is not passing will earn 0 points. Students only have one attempt per book, so we encourage our younger students to reread their books, or read with an adult for extra practice.

Readers’ Den Award
A student's AR points are the determining factor in earning the Readers’ Den Award and participating in the End of Year Reading Celebration. Each grade level's yearly AR goal is listed below.

  • 2nd Grade: 30 AR points
  • 3rd Grade: 45 AR points
  • 4th Grade: 60 AR points
  • 5th Grade: 75 AR points
  • 6th Grade: 90 AR points

*AR quizzes are taken at school during school hours.

AR for Parents
Check your child's current points and get notification when they take quizzes at Renaissance Home Connect.

Find a book’s AR info at Accelerated Reader Book finder.

Book Fair
At Lincoln, we have two book fairs per year. The proceeds go to support our library. Parents and students are invited to volunteer as a fun and exciting way to get involved!

Watch for a volunteer sign-up link as we get closer to our next fair.
