If at any point during the day a student has a potential Covid symptom, they are removed from the classroom and sent to the CARE room (located on the stage in the MPR) where our school nurse meets them and assesses next steps.
If symptoms are checked and confirmed, then the student is sent home and follows CUSD and county guidelines. Typically, students are quarantined for 10 days and can return to school after that as long as they have been symptom free for 24 hours.
If a student gets a Covid test, the result is negative, and they have been symptom free for 24 hours, they may return to campus.
