The students at Lincoln learn the fundamentals of student government through the student council. In September and January, the student body elect the following officers for the school year (offices are held on a one semester basis):

 

President ( 6th graders)
Vice President (5th or 6th graders)
Grade Level President (4th, 5th, or 6th graders)
Secretary (5th or 6th graders)
Treasurer (5th or 6th graders)
Commissioner of Athletics (4th, 5th or 6th graders)
Commissioner of Grounds (4th, 5th, or 6th graders)
Commissioner of Bikes (4th, 5th, or 6th graders)
Commissioner of Fire (4th, 5th, or 6th graders)

 

The student council takes an active role in sponsoring and planning various student activities, enhancing communication between the students and the staff and conducting a fund-raising jog-a-thon for the benefit of the students. In addition to our elected officers, we have two room representatives per classroom in grades 4-6. Classroom representatives are elected by their classroom on a semester basis.
